Frequently asked questions about the IPTouch 380C coating machine
How long does it take to clean the machine?
The machine is very easily accessible and constructed entirely of solid PP material on the inside. This ensures extremely short cleaning times of between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the color. The package includes a number of very useful accessories that drastically simplify cleaning. You will also receive personal training to ensure you master all the necessary steps.
How much paint do I need to get started?
It starts with as little as 3 liters! At least, that's the case when using the optional spray nozzle. Using the flood method, it's between 6 and 10 liters. Good to know: In both cases, you can get everything back down to 0.2-0.5 liters; both systems are easy to rinse.
How long does a color change take?
When using the spray attachment, the system can be switched over in just 3 minutes. Then I may need to rinse or replace the brushes. Ideally, we switch between colors from light to dark, and if we stay within the same color system, it's generally sufficient to adjust the brushes by repeatedly passing them through a "change board." In total, this takes around 10-20 minutes, and in rare cases, and when using the flood box, it may take slightly longer.
Where is the machine built, and where does the electronics come from?
The machine is entirely "made in Denmark," and the electronics come from renowned German manufacturers such as Beckhoff, FESTO, and Schneider Electric. So, a thoroughly solid machine.
What expansion options are available? Can the machine also produce the black contrast spring?
You can access our modular system of over 50 components, which we can use to assemble the perfect system for you. Infeed cross conveyors or magazines, grinding machines, dryers, mechanization, stacking – everything you need for efficient production.
Which paints or varnishes can I use – are solvent-based paints also suitable?
Yes, you can generally use almost all color products, even solvent-based and water-based ones, in the same machine, provided we coordinate everything carefully. Our experts would be happy to advise you personally on this.
Is there somewhere I can see the machine?
Yes, either at a customer's site who is willing, or alternatively at our technical center in Middelfart (Denmark). We would also be happy to create samples for you beforehand so you can see for yourself what is possible.
